INTEROTA 2011. Egypt.

Rotaractors of the world... I would like to extend a warm Egyptian greeting to all of you.
My name is Mona Arslan and I am the chairperson of the Interota Cairo 2011.
It brings me great honor to communicate with so many Rotaractors from all over the world in this very first message from the Interota organizing committee.
After a long time of dedication, team work, research and Rotaract Activism, I officially announce that Interota Cairo will take place on the 29th of June 2011 entering into the first week of July.
Some of you might have previously heard that the Interota's initial date was during November of that year but we had to change the date due to the presidential elections taking place in Egypt around that time of the year. We do expect that the elections would pose traffic to one of the busiest, most active, and dynamic capitals in the world… CAIRO !
Our aim is a successful event with an Egyptian Aroma clinging to the visitors’ minds, reminding them of the GLORY they revisited and the EXOTIC FESTIVITIES they attended, infused with the well-known Rotaract ACTIVISM
Registration will open on the 10th of December 2010 and will be categorized into 3 phases of early , middle and late registration.
In the land of thousands of years of civilizations we promise you to be effective to the community through our advocacy service project targeting one of the hottest peace topics! We also invite you to have hands on experience and ACT directly to community development opportunities in Cairo.
Therefore, I ask you all to book your calendars. Reserve your vacation days. Save your money. And put a packing list… To search for the eternal key of glorious Service!

Portuguese Rotaract National Congress. Povoa de Varzim. 26, 27 y 28 Noviembre
I take the opportunity to let you know that we are having our Rotaract National Congress at the end of November (26, 27 and 28) in Povoa de Varzim (20km from Porto).

Lots of low cost companies fly from Spain to Porto...Why don't you think about that? We could pick you up at the airport and then take you back...You would only pay for the congress and the flight...ah, and the drinks, these are included in the discos...

ENTREGA DE LA CARTA CONSTITUTIVA ROTARACT BURRIANA.
El pasado 18 de septiembre, durante una cena en el Hotel Aloha de Burriana, tuvo lugar la Entrega de la Carta Constitutiva del Club Rotaract de Burriana.
Al acto contó con la presencia de personalidades del mundo de la política local (cuyo máximo representante fue el Alcalde D. Jose Ramón Calpe).
Por parte de Rotary, hay que destacar, entre otros, al representante del Gobernador y Past Gobernador D. Vicente Juan y Verdú y a la past Gobernadora y Burrianera Dª Maria Teresa González).
D. Ramón José Garcia, past presidente del R.C. Buerriana, como gestor importante del proceso de creación del nuevo club, dirigió unas emotivas palabras a todos los componentes y sus familiares que nos acompañaron.
D. Gonzalo Carda, actual presidente, tuvo unas sentidas palabras de ánimo.
Se procedió entonces a realizar el Acto propio de Entrega de la Carta Constitutiva, la cual fue otorgada por D. Vicente Juan y Verdú
así como de las insignias a los 17 socios fundadores y nuevos Rotaractianos.

La fiesta continuó entre los rotaract asistentes de los clubes rotaracts cercanos que habían acudido a la cena a acompañar a sus nuevos compañeros (RDR Anabel Ruiz, Past RDR, socios de RAC Murcia, RAC Alicante, RAC Valencia,...)

Tema Rotaract Europa 2010/11: Energía y Ecología
La Presidenta del ERIC para este año 2010/11, Lerzan Senturk, acaba de remitir una avance con el nuevo tema que quieren lanzar para este año para Rotaract Europa: Energía y Ecología.
Este tema ha surgido de la premisa de que el acceso a la energía y el control del calentamiento global serán, previsiblemente, 2 de los retos de nuestra generación.
La idea es que todos los rotaractianos nos concienciemos de la importancia de la utilización de energías renovables y de evitar el despilfarro de energía pues el comportamiento de cada individuo tiene un gran impacto a nivel colectivo.
Varios clubes Rotaract europeos han creado ya la plataforma "Infinite energy Foundation" powered by ERIC al que todos los clubes están invitados a unirse. Su objetivo principal es concienciar sobre el uso responsable de los recursos naturales en nuestra vida diaria y unir fuerzas para atraer patrocinadores que apoyen proyectos en el campo de la probreza energética y la ecología.
ERIC apoya la idea con al creación de un nuevo premio, la Distinción Ecológica, que se entregarça este año en la EUCO de Dortmund en Junio al club más activo en el tema ecológico.
